The Role

Fidelis is looking for an energetic individual to join its team as the Finance Systems Support Engineer. As part of the Finance Systems team, the successful candidate will be expected to work with Fidelis’ Finance and IT teams to ensure day-to-day operations run efficiently and support project work to help drive innovative solutions. This role will require a dynamic individual who is both technologically adept enough to adapt to a range of applications and has enough business acumen to understand how to best leverage solutions through processes and technology. They will act as a contact and liaison between the Fidelis Finance team and the managed service provider to ensure that the user community receives the best possible service. Over time they will be expected to cross train on all financial applications and expand
their support to all applications in the financial application landscape.

Key Accountabilities

Strong customer service mentality
Participate in global Financial Systems projects, including ongoing enhancements
Deliver training on processes and application functionality
Support testing activities as needed for Fidelis
Working with the Finance team to analyse and improve their existing workflows and processes through technology on all financial applications
Work with 3rd party providers of all financial applications
Delivering and supporting reliable and efficient solutions on all financial applications
Providing support across all applications in the financial application landscape

Skills & Experience

University Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics,
Commerce or a related technical discipline.
Demonstrated understanding of finance and accounting practices, particularly corporate month
end and consolidation processes
Demonstrated understanding of Accounting principles including business planning
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and an ability to
effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of Excel VBA a plus
Experience with HFM is a plus
Experience with SAP Concur is a plus
Experience with GTreasury or other Treasury Management Systems is a plus
Experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus
Experience writing queries with Microsoft SQL Server is a plus
