The role
The Fidelis Partnership (TFP) is a privately owned MGU which originates, underwrites and manages London Market business on behalf of its capital providers, including the Fidelis Insurance Group and most recently for the newly formed Syndicate 3123 at Lloyd’s. The Fidelis Partnership wrote more than $3.6bn of GWP in 2023 and continues to grow. The Group is in the process of repositioning the Exposure Management Team within the business as part of a wider programme of operational improvement. The Exposure Management (EM) Team at TFP is responsible for supporting underwriters with the measurement, monitoring and management of Non-elemental loss exposures. (Elemental catastrophe exposures are managed by the Portfolio Management Team, who work closely with the EM team on a day-to-day basis.). We’re now seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Exposure Management Analyst with solid insurance market experience and strong technical skills. The successful candidate will be hands-on, focused on delivery, and comfortable supporting exposure processes, data analysis, and reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys coding, working with exposure data, and supporting underwriting decisions through insight and automation. The EM team has is composed of a team of 6 and complements a similar sized Elemental Cat Risk team.
Key accountabilities
Contribute to the development of exposure reporting that supports underwriting and portfolio management needs.
Work directly with underwriters and actuaries to support risk reviews and ad-hoc requests.
Assist with transitioning exposure reporting from static outputs to more automated and real-time tools.
Collaborate across teams to ensure exposure analysis is aligned with business needs and market conditions.
Monitor and respond to changes in risk accumulations and support the tracking of emerging risk themes.
Support day-to-day EM processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of outputs.
Assist with identifying, analysing, and reporting exposure to man-made events.
Use coding and automation to improve internal tools and deliver exposure views more efficiently.
Prepare exposure summaries and risk insights for underwriters and other stakeholders.
Help produce exposure data for presentations to senior stakeholders when required.
Help maintain and improve data pipelines for exposure roll-up and analysis.
Support the validation and reconciliation of exposure data from multiple sources.
Ensure exposure reporting tools are accurate and support business workflows.
Assist in providing data extracts and analysis to capital providers to support their reporting obligations.
Stay informed about market trends and regulatory expectations related to exposure management.
Contribute to the EM team’s continuous improvement by sharing ideas and improving tools or workflows.
Support the Event Response process, helping with exposure summaries shortly after significant events.
Build understanding of key risk themes across lines such as cyber, casualty, and specialty.
Skills & experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Risk, Insurance, or Actuarial Science.
6–10 years of experience in exposure management, cat modelling, or insurance analytics.
Strong working knowledge of the Lloyd’s and London Market, with an understanding of underwriting processes.
Skilled in data manipulation and analysis using Python and SQL; Power BI or similar tools a plus.
Familiarity with key risk accumulations and regulatory reporting like RDS.
Good communication skills, with ability to explain technical results to non-technical users.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Comfortable working under deadlines and adjusting analysis for evolving business questions.
