The role
We are a dynamic and forward-thinking insurance MGU, focused on delivering exceptional risk solutions in an increasingly complex world and we are seeking a highly capable and strategically minded Group Head of Change to oversee and drive the business change portfolio across The Fidelis Partnership. The role spans multiple international jurisdictions, including Bermuda, Ireland, and Abu Dhabi, and works closely with the IT Business Partnership team and the wider COO office.
The Group Head of Change will lead the organisation’s approach to managing change, ensuring a clear understanding of its impact across the business. This role will drive both strategic and operational change programmes, aligning outcomes with the company’s overarching strategic objectives. Additionally, the role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust project governance frameworks, standards, controls, and monitoring practices across the organisation
This is a key position that requires a deep understanding of insurance and underwriting operations, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to drive transformational change across a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key accountabilities
Strategic Change:
Lead and drive the business change and portfolio function across the organisation, including all reporting and standards and managing the change process, activities and pipeline.
Manage the planning, coordination, and implementation of cross-functional strategic change initiatives.
Provide oversight across strategic change projects to track progress, identify risks, and ensure alignment to strategic objectives.
Contribute to the development of business cases and operating models to support long-term transformation.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
Collaborate with project sponsors/stakeholders to ensure the business outcomes for change is clearly defined and documented.
Manage the overall Portfolio for all change projects, reporting, monitoring and ensuring business stakeholders have the visibility of all active and prospective projects.
Present monthly to the Management Committee highlighting progress, issues & escalations and prioritisation
Performance & Project Management:
Ensure the development and maintenance of the overarching change process, standards and templates to enable a consistent approach to change management where possible.
Provide expertise for business changes and projects, including project management and business analysis and the ability to resource specialised skillsets as required.
Lead the overall change management and approach within the business, breaking down barriers to change, improve adoption of changes across the business and benefits realisation.
Define and monitor KPIs and operational metrics to measure the change portfolio performance, identifying trends and proposing improvements.
Business Change & PMO Team Management
Work alongside HR and functional leads to help manage workforce planning, team structuring, and resourcing across jurisdictions.
Manage internal governance processes, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones and outputs.
Resourcing of change projects across the company and potentially helping to procure short-term resources as and when additional capacity is required to deliver change activities.
People & Culture:
Champion an inclusive, high-performance culture in operational teams, supporting the professional development of middle office staff.
Skills & experience
Significant experience of supporting and delivering complex change management, including management of portfolios and programmes of change
Significant experience of planning and management of Business Analysis activities and leading teams of Business Analysts from business cases, eliciting requirements through to delivery.
Strong influencing and decision-making skills, showing clear leadership when it comes to driving out the definition of a problem and its solution.
Strong understanding of insurance and underwriting operations, with proven experience in a Lloyd’s market or international insurance environment.
Strong understanding of strategic planning, transformation delivery and governance processes.
Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication (written and verbally) and influencing skills, with the ability to convey complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel occasionally to TFP international offices as required.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional qualifications in insurance (e.g. ACII), Finance (e.g. CIMA)
Professional qualifications in Change & Project Management/project management (e.g. Prince2, Agile, ProSci, Lean Six Sigma).
Degree or relevant qualification in Business, Finance or related field
Experience with operational regulatory frameworks in the UK, EU (Central Bank of Ireland), and Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA).
