The role
The Finance Readiness Consultant will support in the design, implementation, and embedding of finance processes, systems, and controls. The role will work across both the MGU and Syndicate Managing Agency areas and provide hands-on project management support and change readiness support, ensuring our Finance change initiatives are delivered timely and seamlessly transitioned to BAU, by focusing on people readiness and engagement.
This role will cover multiple efforts - new general ledger and consolidation system implementation (SAP S4/HANA Cloud), financial close and reporting readiness, streamlining upstream systems/calculations and embedding our Finance Data Mart
Key accountabilities
Assist in day-to-day management of the Finance change initiatives.
Deliver project plans and co-ordinate logistics of all meetings and workshops.
Support internal and external resources with day-to-day project activities.
Jointly prepare project status reports and escalates issues to the Finance Readiness Lead, Stakeholders, Project Steering Committees and Change Working Group.
Track / update RAID log (risks and issue resolution).
Assist with access to TFP project toolsets (e.g., Sharepoint) and access to all relevant systems / tools for external resources.
Assist in managing project budget and implementation plans, monitoring project scope and change control activities.
Assist in managing resolution of project risks, issues and dependencies.
Assist in managing business readiness, change management, and adoption activities across Finance and with wider business functions.
Assist in defining and communicating the vision for change and training, delivering the project communication plan and training programme plan.
Champion Change Management approach and goals across the business.
Document finance processes, controls and workflows.
Support users in the execution of testing activities.
Skills & experience
Prior project management experience with ERP implementations, ideally Oracle Cloud (ERP / Fusion) and/or SAP S4 HANA Public Cloud.
Prior experience in Insurance.
Consulting background.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience in programme governance, budget control, and benefits tracking.
In-depth understanding of Finance processes, controls, and reporting structures.
Vendor management experience, particularly with system integrators.
Change management and business adoption leadership.
