The role
To lead and enhance the delivery of financial actuals, reporting and forecasting processes while supporting financial transformation initiatives including system implementation.
Key accountabilities
Ownership of Actuals Reporting
Lead monthly actuals review across cost centres including accruals, prepayments and variance analysis.
Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial reporting.
Partner with financial reporting teams to resolve issues and improve close efficiency.
Identify and implement improvements in month end reporting process.
Business Partnering
Lead detailed variance analysis reporting (actuals vs. forecasts vs. prior periods) with clear insightful commentary.
Present financial insights to senior stakeholders including department heads.
Drive consistency and quality in reporting outputs.
Challenge and support budget holders with actionable recommendations.
Process Improvements and Finance Transformation
Identify and implement process improvements.
Play a key role in financial system implementation and improvement.
Reporting and Data Capability
Develop enhanced reporting output including dashboards and automation.
Improve data integrity and reporting consistency across systems.
Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and deliver solutions to increase budget holder engagement with monthly reporting.
Skills & experience
Qualified Accountants (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) (3+ years PQE)
FP&A/Finance business partner experience.
No insurance experience required
Proven experience managing month end and reporting processes.
Experience with financial systems implementation or improvement initiatives (SAP/Oracle/Pigment)
Stakeholder management experience with ability to challenge and influence.
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in finance transformation or transaction experience (desirable).
